What's the name of the HD-SDI boxes for the 170?

[USLatin]

I haven't read enough about it but I am looking to learn more about the micro-drives or whatever it was that allowed you to record uncompressed out of the HPX-170's HD-SDI output... Do they only record to CF cards or do they also record to HDDs? Talk to me DVXuser.

[cordvision]

can't help you with your question.... but how is it going with your short?

[USLatin]

Hey Michael! PM'ed you an update

[Barry_Green]

None of those boxes allows you to record uncompressed, those boxes (Convergent Flash XDR, NanoFlash, and Cineform's recorder) all compress the footage.

[puredrifting]

And they are expensive too!

The FlashXDR has a future upgrade at extra cost which will allow HD-SDI 4:2:2 uncompressed to be recorded.

[USLatin]

So what do they record? The best one.
