What's the maximum amount of Ram Premiere utilizes?

I just picked up the 2015 iMac with an option to install up to 64gb worth of Ram.
Will Premiere actually utilize this much Ram? If so, what processes are most likely to benefit?
If not, what would be the most amount of Ram I should install to have the best performance out of the iMac and other applications?
Premiere and Lightroom are my primary applications.

The real time renders should be able to use this, After Effects might use it more heavily with the render to RAM feature.

In the "Memory" preferences, you can "Optimize Memory" for "Memory" or "Performance." I don't understand Adobe's explanation for the difference between the two and have kept it at Performance. If RAM is maxed out, should the preference be set to "memory?" Does anyone have a clear understanding of this preference?

I run 32GB of RAM, it really help if you have 16 Cores, then it flys. Less than that and mostly up to the speed of the CPU only when running media compressor.
Just Premiere, then a Video card with many Cuda cores will do you more justice than RAM. I would say at least 32 after that kinda a waste IMHO. Spend in SSD drives (2 plus sys OS or RAID), Video Card to help editing more in real time. But then you really need a MAC PRO tower. . . So for a iMac just get 32GB RAM and thats best.
