What's the DVX User Movie Tab

Hey,

Just wanted to who knew what the dvx user movie tab at the bottom of the main page is, A new catagory?

It's going to be a new forum. I'm thinking of it as a single location where *completed* DVX movies can be posted and announced. We could keep the stuff in process in the grabs/clips forum, and when something is completed, it goes up in the DVXMovie forum. Maybe a new home for DVXfest--I haven't decided. Like one-stop shopping if you want to watch or find out about finished DVX films. Possibly open the clips/grabs section to all cams. If you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know.
 
I think that's a good idea, because sometime's if your just trying to show someone a particular video, be it a music video or a short film, it can be a ***** to try and find it again....
 
thats a great idea. can we have some sort of naming convention for it though? like...i cant stand it in the screengrabs section how posts are like....new music video! or my first short film with a dvx...i know im guilty of it...but if this is going to be a sort of archive of finished pieces, i think it should be done in a nice orderly way. know what im sayin?

like if we could make it so that the thread name for a short film is like this...

SF_Title_Duration......just to make an example....

Yeah, the whole idea is to make completed DVX films easy to find. Rich, I love the idea of descriptive thread names and I'm willing to give it a try--but damn if it's not going to be hard to get people to cooperate. What does everyone think about mixing in the film announcements with the actual films?
 
I agree guys; I ahave been guilty in the past as well but hate these ambiguous thread titles

"How do I.........?"
"What is the best.........?"
"Short Spec"

I would love to get people to start doing this; half the time I skip over threads casue i have ZERO clue what they want or are asking.
 
So Barry, you're going to take over the dvx user movie with clips? I think he's talking about the day after tomorrow forum at the bottom...
 
Rich and Kyle--I mean we currently have DVX feature announcements in the News section--usually just an announcement without a link to an online version of the film. In the Clips/Grabs section, we currently have DVX misc grabs, clips, and completed short films (direct links). I'm asking what people think about combining:
1) DVX feature announcements AND
2) Finished DVX films (with direct link) in the new DVXmovie forum AND
3) DVXfest

into a new DVXmovie forum.
