The REV2 is analog, while the MP.2 is completely controlled by micro-processor, features onboard power management, external oscillation control (also controlled by our onboard chip) and a new motor. We do have an update program that has you send in your older unit for a complete update to the MP.2 spec for about $200...and we highly recommend that you do this. You can view the MP.2 features overview clip "Show the World" right on Cinevate's main web page.
Along the same time the MP.2 was launched, we introduced our CFX, and CFXL imaging elements which offer the most filmic bokeh of any of our interchangeable CINEFUSE line.
