What's the deal with NAB

Everybody's always talking about this NAB. It sounds like its the place to be. What kind of stuff goes on? How much does it cost? Is it affordable for someone like me (a lowly Kinko's employee with some vacation time saved up)? I don't wanna miss all the fun.

I have been going to NAB for about 15 years. It is the place to see all the new braodcasting gear and software.
I always come out of it, informed and inspired...
also, too catch up with old friends who now work all over the world.

Exibition floor passes are free, all courses are like $750 USD

its free? sweet! i'm there. i just checked out the NAB site. the digital cinema summit looks interesting. anybody know about the final cut pro certificate exam? how serious is that? what's the best way to get a flight/hotel?

lol jarred,  hes a very advanced zombie.    saul, i didnt know you were going.  if i buy you a DVXuser shirt will you be so kind bring me back the battery from Jarred.   lol and Jarred if he happens to wear 2 DVXuser shirts at once will he get 2 batteries. lol not serious there of course. but i cant make it.  got another child on the way and possible documentary in algeria off  in the sahara desert round then. + were looking to be moving.  ..all in all its not gonna happen for me..            ..and thats what REALLY bites  :-/

Speaking of DVXuser shirts - you should make them available and ship them prior to NAB. That way we can all wear our shirts and stand out in the crowd. I know this sounds lame, but it’s a really big crowd.
