I have some VHS tapes that I had digitized as DVDs. I want to use the footage from these DVDs in FCP. What's the best way to transfer it from DVD format into a .mov format for use in FCP?
Use Streamclip to convert to Quicktime files.
Make sure the export from Quicktime matches the FCP Project settings.
Most likely a 4:3 16 bit type. Most older VHS stuff use this and work OK in FCP.
