What's the best SAG contract for a feature under $200k?

I know some people are doing SAG ULB but I've read that you have to renegotiate all your rates when you step up to a contract that allows for television/DVD distribution. I was thinking just starting with a SAG agreement that allows me to pursue DVD/TV distribution from the start. I might pay a little more up front but at least I'm honest and upfront with investors from the start and I don't have to go back and negotiate any step up rates/etc. later. Thoughts?

We went Ultra low budget with our flick, getting ready to sell it at AFM, will let you know how it goes with SAG. One thing that bit us in the ass, and I warn everyone about. We should have looked closer at the contract. SAG actors go into overtime after 8 hours. Crews work for 12 hours. Our stars went into overtime everyday, cost us a grip extra. If you're able to secure the actors for the ultra low rate of $100 per day, just know that it is actually $150 a day.

I'd say avoid the Ultra Low-Budget... It's basically set-up to the point so it's not really useable. They want to give you the idea you can use "non-professional" talent, but you end up getting burnt with a ton of other issues from that contract. I'd say anything under $250,000 or so avoid SAG altogether. There's so much paperwork and compliance crap you'll be spending thousands on somebody just to keep up with all of it.
