Two questions.

1. If money is not a problem, what is the best LAV mic that money can buy?
2. If I have to get a LAV mic under $600, what would you recommend?

do you mean lavalier microphone or wireless set? but i've got a feeling you mean wireless set.

and there's a bright yellow sticky at the top of the audio forum that says, "The $500 Wireless Question, or, "What cheap system should I get?""

lectrosonics and zaxcom are the main higher end wireless sets. looking at $2k-$3k per channel. sennheiser g3 is the best cheap wireless to get at around $600.

Yes, I want a whole wireless set that I can easily connect to a portable mixer or directly to my EX1's XLR port. This is basically going to used for people doing presentation who are going to be constantly moving on the floor or stage. It is not for film or anything that requires high quality but better than capturing through my EX1's built-in mic.
