What's the best format to capture to?

Newbie Alert.
(You've been warned)

I just discovered capturing footage from my XH-A1 via (the ever so wonderful . . . not!) Vista's automatic download program is a no-no.

So, putting aside my childish .wmv files, I find myself thinking, "Am I going to go through all the extensions one by one until I get it right? Or am I just going to ask my peers?"

Here I am, I am asking. Bowing humbly and offering beer as gratitude . . .:beer:

Assuming that you taped it as HDV, you'd want to capture as HDV (and that would be filename.m2t)

Hopefully, you didn't capture 24F, as that would cause a world of other problems.

BTW, you really would be better off not using Premiere to capture. Download HDVSplit to capture. It's free, easy and better.
