What's the best external hard drive??

I've been using a 500 gb WD for six months...formatted (See WD website for info) to allow use on both video class Mac (FCP) and home PC (PPro). No problems with my drive.
 
just buy an enclosure and put in any hd u want. I have a maxtor seril 500 gig in a enclosure using firewire. combined total 180.00. can't beat that. With a 3 year warentee. Maxtor rocks. They dont even ask why they send u a replacment (sometimes higher in gigs).
