Anyone have a rough idea of what's a decent file size for full-motion, mono QT web video? Most I've seen don't get much smaller than 2MB/minute. Does that seem about right?
320 x 240 - 350kbps at 15fps is good. That's right about 2.4MB per minute depending on if you're using CBR or VBR encoding and the content. Here are some examples at those settings http://dvestore.com/theatre/
Don't know if this will help others, but I found it helped a lot to switch from Sorenson to MPEG-4. The Sor looked really pixelated and blurry at med quality, while the MPEG-4 worked OK at med. I was able to get a 6 minute project from 38 MB to 4.5 MB. A friend confirmed that it looked good on a PC as well as my Mac.
