whats editorial ? and how does it compare to commercial video ?

Hi, Im new to this kind of concept

My client wants me to shoot a interview, and some B-roll to make a 3 min video

sounds easy, but they kinda emphasize on the concept of Editorial. They dont want it to be commercial

Im going to interview a photographer, who is part of the event. This event is about a Big Brand's involvement in something (Thats all the info I got for now ! Damn! ), probably raising awareness of something or charity.


yeah, more editorial? is that mean more about this individual's personal involvement in this thing, instead of advertising the Brand ?
 
In editorial, you are telling the story of the org or brand vs. in commercial you are selling the brand or product. It would be a news piece vs. an advertisement.
