Whats best Firewire for p2

My footage would import off of p2 to final cut no prob but when it was playing it was very glichy. I tried everything. Nothing worked and then boom it played properly. Is this part of the whole 5.0.4 thing that will not happen in 5.1.2?

Officially, no, its not the 5.0.4 glitch. The only official statement in regard to the 5.0.4 issue is that renders of footage imported with 5.0.4 may experience problems. However, through practical use/complaints around here, there may be more to it. A warning to you though, before you proceed, to undo glitch potential of footage loaded with 5.0.4, you will need to re-load that material from scratch with 5.1.1/5.1.2. If you just install 5.1.2 and then try to cut with footage that was loaded with 5.0.4, you are still at full risk of encountering the 5.0.4 related problems.

As for you specific issue you talked about, that could be a variety of things depending upon your various settings. Or maybe it wasn't a setting, may preferences needed to be reset, may the program reloaded, maybe the computer rebooted. Variety of things, beyond just having loaded it with 5.0.4 might have caused potential playback problems.
