I remember a couple years ago there was a real long thread about this kid-phenom director in here, I don't remember much except there was a music video he did with a car in it? Maybe someone else remembers this? Just curious to find out whatever happened to him.
 
Ah, that's right. After a google it doesn't look like he's really done so much over the last couple years. Still, a pretty talented kid.
 
I'm not sure how he spends the majority of his time, but he's directed a couple music videos a year since 2005. I'm guessing his "day job" is probably doing something on Joseph Kahn's sets. It can't hurt your career being BFFs with that guy lol.

I'm jealous :(

You don't like kahn's videos? On the whole I think they're alright, and he's had a few really good ones. He's not an artist like a gondry or Cunningham, but in the heirarchy of video directors I give him his due. I just wish he's get out of the feature film game and stick to videos/commercials.

Well, the dude really likes music videos, I can dig that. I think I read that he "wasn't a big movie guy".

I frankly respect that. He knows what his passion is. Better than him going out and making some pointless flashy summer flick because "he's supposed too"
 
It's one of my favorites. I agree that most of his stuff isn't very innovative, or enlightening, if you actually seek out his videos, I think you'll see that most of them or generally pretty good.

In your opinion, who would you give the edge; Kahn or Dave Meyers? I used to think of them as identical, but the more I investigated I personally think Kahn has a little more to offer.
