Yes, I'm still working on a logo. I was REALLY liking this one, but then someone mentioned...

well, I'm not going to tell you what he said, but gimme your first impressions, please.

The design is smart, for a business. For a production company, I dunno,
it's okay, but I'd like to see a bit more. But really, for a business, it's smart.

Thanks Charli... I should've mentioned:

If I decide to stick with this one, the "am" part will blink in and out like a clock

blink-blink...blink-blink...blink-blink... etc

First thoughts...drop the drop shadow (no pun intended), it hampers readibility and is usually used as a crutch to make something stand out, as it is in this case. The "productions" and "am" clash, I'm guessing you used Bodoni (or something heavily influenced by it) and it seems the "productions" is squashed vertically a little bit. That doesn't really work well with this font.

In terms of aeschetics, I think the futuristic, metallic looking 4 doesn't juxtapose well with the font. Bodoni-esque fonts were all the rage in the earlier years of the twentieth century and doesn't work well with hi-tech looks. Maybe if your 4 was more in the style of 60's future retro.

Just my thoughts...

Doesn't do it for me. Perhaps the blinking will make it look better, but still. Not trying to be mean, but it just looks kinda flat and boring to me. The grey and the red make it look a bit ugly, even if they go together. Also the shadows are a bad touch. Really not trying to be mean, just my honest opinion.

If you're going to have the a.m. blinking, why not make it look like a digital clock then? At least the a.m., if not the whole thing.

I think sometimes the obvious approach, if done artfully, can work very well. This example is not necessarily done artfully, but gets the idea across.
