What would you like DVXUser to be in the future?

combatentropy you've just reminded me of something we debated on my thread linked earlier in this one.;

One thing you know annoys me about DVXUSER is the anonymity of users who refuse to put their real name as their handle or even in their signature. I understand the arguments in favour of them, you argued those before so let's not go over that... ...But what's the solution?

How about we have a verified status and maybe a short description of experience or areas of work? That way you could remain anonymous and I would know whether I'm debating with a Hollywood DoP or a ten-year-old school child who's spent too long on YouTube.

I don't know what you mean by "a verified status", but people can put a description in their profile.

They can do that, but they don’t, which is why I suggested it.

Take you for example, I have no idea who you are, what you do, if you’re any good or how much experience you have. If you were verified by another couple of members you could remain anonymous but the rest of us would know the type of person we are speaking too and thus pitch any commentary or advice or argument at the appropriate level.

If you choose not to be verified that’s your call. Get it?
