They sure won't be going down. It's competition that lowers prices, with only one format, look for prices to hold or go up for "new" tech. You'll be paying a lot more for your blu-ray titles for some time to come.

thats like saying dvd players didnt go down when vhs was out of the picture. Of course they will. the competition is between manufactures trying to get you to buy THEIR bluray players, not between formats.

they'll continue to go down. I bet you see $199 BR players this year, maybe lower

there are players by sony, sharp, panasonic, samsung and a combo player by LG.

My brother bought a Sony blu-ray last week at P.C. Richards on Long Island for $199.00. It came with 1 free blu-ray disc in the box (Spider Man) and an offer to send away for 5 more for free. HDMI out too.
