What types of lights did they use here?

Large natural source, morning golden hour, white diffusion filter, large tungsten source, or a full length Kino tungsten balanced.

I like that they didn't try to color balance the two sources. Nicely done.

Hi,

could you explain me more about?

Large natural source, you mean here natual light from the window?
morning golden hour, you mean here natual light from the window?
white diffusion filter, Do you mean a Softbox?
large tungsten source, ?
or a full length Kino tungsten balanced. Which exactly?

I need to do this configuration in 2 weeks :=( and i don't know what i exactly need to rent or buy :=(

Pleas help me..

Large natural source = A apartment with beautiful windows

Morning golden hour means it was shot near sunrise with that beautiful morning light.

White Diffusion filter = a video filter used in post-processing to soften up the harsh light coming in the window

Large tungsten source = VERY large softbox most likely

Full length Kino = Body-length Kino-Flo or similar light. Balanced at about 3500k.

I am sorry. I cannot tell you how to do that shot in two weeks. Whoever lit and shot that has likely been doing it for many years. It was masterfully done. Maybe someone else here can give you more advice. But only somone who was there can tell you exactly how it was done.

Her eyes tell me the story of much of the lighting, but the placement... that's the real trick.

Is it literally just the time of day ( the sunrise) that really warms up the daylight coming through the window...? you can tell that tungsten was used inside but you really don't get the feel that it is daylight coming through the window. It has very little blue in the light....

You white balance to that, then don't correct the tungsten.

LOL! Trust me, I've asked my fair share over the years! :) Just smacked my head when the obvious answers came...

I was just trying to over complicate things! haha

Saying that... does anyone think maybe a 1/4 or 1/8 CTB gel maybe added to the tungsten to soften the orange Slightly...?

Very nicely lit either way!

Potentially, but to know this, you'd have to either know the color of both light sources, or have a look at it on the day.

The window was probably lit by a 1200 or 2500 watt HMI, shot thru an 8x8 or 12x12 silk or frost fabric. Interiors probably used a mix of tungsten fresnels, 400 or 800 watt hmi's into softboxes, and maybe a Diva lit or two.
