What to use is the question!!!!

I have to shoot a commercial and a Infomercial for a local store at the end of the month and I want to start preparing my gear now for the shoot. Now I own an Arri 1k and some small 250watt Lowel Pro lights. However I am moving towards going the route of something like a Kino Flo light. The store is a Car Audio store that is a pretty good size inside and we will be shooting all over the store. I do have a VIDLED LED on camera light that I may use but definitely will need some stand lights. My 1k may be to intense for what I need. I can always put a dimmer on it though.

If I want to do 3 point lighting with Kino's, will I need 2 sets of Kino's and then a back light?

They want to shoot some stuff against a green screen that I will have to set up in the store as well. How many lights am I going to need to light the screen? I am thinking up to 5 or 6 total for the screen and talent.

I may need to pick up some flags and possibly a scrim but I am not sure yet.

For some of the informercial I will be following someone around the store so thats where my on camera light will come into play.

thanks...

I would say a couple of 4 banks for the green screen (of course it depends upon how big it is). Then, a couple of 2 banks for the talent. Or, a 2 bank and a reflector is another lower cost option. Of course it the area is bigger, you may need a 4 bank for the talent and reflector or 2 4 banks. You may need a 300w fresnel or two for back/rim lighting which will do wonders for helping separate the talent from the screen and eliminating any green spill. If you are lighting some other area of the store besides the green screen, you may need some other small fresnels as back lighting of the area behind the talent.

If you use eggcrate filters on the flos you may not need the flags as an eggcrate does wonders for cutting off side spill. Hope this helps.

If you are going to get flo's, save yourself a bundle and still get quality by getting your lights from Cool Lights!
