I have been asked what I want for a gift for my birthday in the $200.00 range for something that I could use for my video career. I have some ideas but I wanted to see if you guys could come up with something sweet that I would rather have.
Here's some background to help. I have the following.
DVX100b, Bogen tripod with 503 head, lowell dv creator 44 light kit, 1 Senheisser G2, Rode NT-G2 shotgun, Sony MDR-7506 headphones, 2 Autopoles and a fog machine. I have a fast computer with enough storage and all the software I need for now.
I use my equipment primarily for narrative shorts but also for commercial videos and whatever else I can to get practice, make money and have fun. Not necessarily in that order. I also plan to shoot some short docs for Current TV.
I was deciding between the following
On camer light (suggestions welcome)
Shoulder brace
Glidecam 2000
Softbox
Oktava Hyper
Windprotection for my shotgun
Expodisk (whitebalance disk)
What would you guys want? Let's hear it. I'm open to suggestion.
