Forgive me for the silly question, but I'm sixteen and my Jewish neighbors will be celebrating a Bar Mitzvah for their son soon. They asked me for a quote to film the ceremony and after-party.
However, I'm not Jewish, so I honestly don't even know what a videographer is supposed to film at a Bar Mitzvah ceremony. I've been to a few (that was three years ago of course), but I don't really know which parts would be important enough to put in the video. The party seems pretty self-explanatory.
So, my questions are:
1. What exactly am I supposed to film at the ceremony?
2. Is there anything specific to film at the party I should be aware of? I don't remember anything really happening other than dancing, but I was 13 when I was going to Bar Mitzvahs.
3. How much is the average rate to charge for the ceremony and the party combined (shot and edited)? And for future reference, the ceremony alone and the party alone?
Thanks to anyone who can help me out!
