What to clean a fluid head with?

Hello,

I was wondering what you guys suggest for cleaning a video fluid head. I am going to take my head apart partially tomorrow to clean out some dirt and other crap left behind from a previous user... I'm thinking rubbing alcohol? What do you guys think?

+1 on alcohol for a generally great solvent that leaves no residue....just remember it is flamable. If you go to a marine supply house, they will have it in gallons for boat stoves.
