I have a feature coming up early next year and I have a large list of things I know I'll need but on the side of computer hardware im not so sure. I hope to buy ALP5 speakers for some decent studio monitors and a Graid for storage but im not entirely sure on the workflow ill use for all my stuff. I'll be shooting in HDV using the Canon A1.
If I buy a G-Raid ill want an internal inside my MacPro to mirror the drive because no matter how amazing the G-Raid's trackrecord is...I can't afford to loose my stuff. I really want to beef up my home studio to really be ready to do alot of stuff and be ready for things other than this feature. Currently my setup is rather limited in terms of variety of useful things...maybe I think too little of my setup but idk haha.
MacPro 2.66, 5GB RAM, 250GB, 120GB, 300GB External

The Speakers I currently have are old but they are HUGE...they sound amazing but my concern is their accuracy which is why I was looking at the ALP5's.
How about an intensity card also? That would relieve some computer power and would make CC on the JVC monitor easier right? I think the Intesity Pro converts colorspace from HDV to SD so that would help too....
So what should I get first or what list of things? Storage, Speakers sound like they are main priority to me but maybe someone has another suggestion. Don't worry about camera equipment im just stricly talking post-prod computer hardware and electronics.
