What to buy?? Need some help

I do film, video with FC Pro and some photos with D90.
Like to start and jump on buying a CS 4. But wish one i need to buy?
So many CS 4 products ! Creative Suite design, Premium, Master collection, Production Premium etc..

Ok. I think i need to stick to Adobe Photoshop CS4.
Do videographers really need Photoshop CS4 Extended?
 
I believe Extended is what allows you to import Video into Photoshop and create basic 3D objects. So videographers would probably need extended more than anyone else.

I would like to know, I see a lot of people using after effect. Is that part of photo shop? or a different software?
 
I called Adobe and they told me to go with Creative Suite 4 Production Premium if i want After Effect and Photoshop.
Cost $1699.00.

It's about $1700, but you get Photoshop Extended, After Effects, Illustrator, SoundBooth, Flash, Premiere Pro, OnLocation, Encore, and Adobe Media Encoder. It's a suite of apps and well worth the cost.

After Effects is a motion graphics/compositing program. If you want to do video, you should learn it. Go to Adobe.com and download the trial of the programs you're interested in. Also, if you're a student, you can get the suite for a greatly reduced cost.

Yes. It is nice. I like to get it but now i heard that in 2 weeks, they coming up with the CS 5. Do they upgrade for free, if i get the CS 4 now?
