I just bought my dvx but I want to know what should I buy now. My budget is very small so were should I put my money first? 16:9 converter, wide angle, batteries, barry's book, FCP's book?????

Thank you

1.  Barry's Book (knowledge is more important than anything else)

What do you plan on doing with the camera?  Filming documenteries?  Movies?  Nature? Family?  Do you have a project in the short term, or do you just plan on learning the techniques of filmmaking?  How much do you want to invest in this undertaking?

The answer to these question will help us help you.

Re: What to buy after the dvx

You should get a (multi-coated) UV lens protector and put it on . . . immediately.

Re: What to buy after the dvx

Gonna shoot nature, snowboard/wakeboard/skateboard, family and looking for a documentary project soon

Re: What to buy after the dvx

I agree, put the UV on First, Barry's Book 2nd, and then the rest when you know you're gonna need it

Re: What to buy after the dvx

I strongly recommend buying some DV tapes and practice a lot before the UV filter. ;)

I know you're making a joke, danny, but before he "practices a lot," he needs to have the UV on the front of his cam. ::)
