Hi;

Man, it's always something, just when I got one thing working - something else gets uppity!

For some reason my "Scene Detect" feature during capture doesn't seem to be working anymore. I thought it might be only the 1 tape I was using - but it ain't working on the next tape either! I get a pop-up error message:

"Date/Time recorded not found on tape and is required for scene detection."

I don't stripe my tape - just slap it in, and it's always worked - anyone have a clue on what to do?

I've found it to be a little temperamental. Have you changed anything on your camera or are you doing it with a different camera than normal? I'm pretty sure the camera needs to output date/time info (not just timecode), and I don't think all cameras do that.

Premiere's weird sometimes. It's even helped me to hit play before I hit record, let it get up to speed first (this doesn't make any sense technically of course, but the weirdest things work sometimes...)

The camera needs to have the Time/Date setup. before this function will work. Its nothing to do with Timecode.

Well, I went into the camera and set the Date and Time. I'm hoping this will fix it - I will test this later on.

I haven't had to do that before, but I'm thinking this may do it. And no, I didn't change any of the setup.

Just wanted to update ya'll on this situation.

Set the date and time on the camera - and the Scene Detect is working again! Guess it got reset or something? That's the weird part! Oh, well, it's working though.

Thanks for teh pointers!
