What the hell?

I have the full version of Vegas 8 and when I try to capture footage from my XHA1, it makes a gazillion small video files. I then tried importing some .m2t files and it didn't recognize them. I tried changing the file extension and while it recognizes the file, I just get errors when trying to import them. I also tried a fresh reinstall and that didn't work. What the hell? How can I fix this problem?

see if theres an update available. sometimes glitches happen with earlier versons of VEG8

Known bug. Nothing you can do about it except:
1. Make sure you run the latest version.
2. Capture with Vegas 7 or HDVSplit.
3. Make a bug report at Sony.
