What the hell happened to Michael Keaton?

Honestly I think Keaton's Batman was the best. Really.

Yeah I miss that guy also.

Kilmer? I've read so many horror stories about that guy. I think he's probably a total d*ck and there's plenty of guys to take the roles he would fill.

Clint Eastwood back in the day... same actors in everything! Why? Easy to work with... plain and simple... there were no primadonna actors working for Clint. Everybody helped out and everybody kept working. (Except for that one chick maybe... since I know somebody will call me out on that.)

Even on our own projects... I'll bet you try to use the same people (who you like) over and over. We all form mental call sheets based on what skills people have, how good they are with those skills, and how easy they are to work with... usually not in that order.

Yeah, Michael Keaton, in the right role, is great. I LOVED him in "Night Shift" and "Mr. Mom". However, I cannot for the LIFE of me figure out why so many people dig his Batman. Is it because he really was right for the role or is it because he was much better than Kilmer and Clooney? I don't get it. I don't think ANY of them were properly cast.

I love Keaton. But as Batman? I just don't get it.

I personally thought he was horrible as batman... just didn't fit the typical batman mold.

Maybe your right that I only liked him in comparison. Maybe it was the eyebrows?

Sure he could have been more muscular but I thought he had the right personality for it. Batman is supposed to be dark and driven emotionally... like a determined vigilante. I had problems accepting that trait in every other batman... including even the most recent one. (Batman isn't supposed to have a whole lot of heart left... some... but not much.)

back in the day, when he was younger, i really felt that Alec Baldwin would have been the perfect Batman. But alas, it wasn't meant to be.

i remember when keaton was casted, we were like, yeah right! even the write ups were dumbfounded. but then we saw it and he surprised us. i thought he was good in it considering he didn't fit the role

keaton's a badass, enough said. rumor has it they are looking at him as the Joker for the next Batman flick. that would be awesome.

did anyone see that movie he was in on HBO about Desert Storm reporters? it was pretty good and i think he redeemed himself in it.

The Desert Storm reporter movie was a pretty good flick.

But my money is on Paul Bettany for Joker.

And Philip Seymore Hoffman for Penguin...

No actor has properly fit the batman mold for how he is portrayed in the comics. But that's not what made Keaton's Batman classic....
