what software for editing 60i & 24p on same timeline.

since there is no general editing on pc forum i'm posting this here
ok i'm having some issues here, i have the dvx100a and i need to edit some stuff both 24p & 60i footage. I'm running on a PC, have been using premiere pro 1.5 since forever, but for some reason it dont like both of those on the same timeline. What am i to do? Wich other NLE supports both on the same timeline so i can intergrate the footage.

do u notice any ghosting or super strobing in vegas when hvaing both combined??? thats the reason i'm going to switch from premiere. a 24p timeline is excellent in premiere and so is 60i but on their own.....anyway....

is vegas hard to get used to?
 
no i havent had any problems with strobing or ghosting.Hard to get used to? Well I come from editing on Avid for 8 years.I even had it at home in my PC. I couldnt be happier. Sure there is a learning curve, but if you take your time and understand the workflow, it really isnt hard at all to learn. I did get the VASST training dvd's just because I wanted a full understanding of things and how everything worked.They are quite helpful.

You can download a 30 day trial of Vegas.. Ive been playing with it last few days. Its pretty simple to use, just need to refind everything.
 
i went out and got vegas and i dont even know how to capture video??? fakkkkkkkk.......oh my god.....what the hell am i doing wrong..when i hit capture nothing happens... i have the deck and all plugged in..etc...

i can see a screenshot when i hit the screeshot button no no video feed???? i wen tot he properies and set up the sony deck and nothing still...:angry:
 
yeah, ANY editor can do it. you simply have to either render the 60i parts or the 24p parts pending what timeline you have it on before export.
 
You know what, I couldn't capture anything either with 6.0 until I got 6.0c. Make sure you get 6.0c the updated version. 6.0 all the way through 6.0b didn't even bring up the capture window when I click on it. It sucked. But not that I got the update it works great!
 
yah man ..kool..i figured it out lil wihle ago..... but i still cant stand vegas, i've been at it for 2 hrs or so and its just soooooooo wierd. i cant find anything, i cant rearage anything i cant preview on tape without having to save the project or whtever it does. I thoguth i could adjust but i just friggin' cant. im instaling premiere pro(7)
