what size sand bags for c-stand/kino flo (200)

I am buying a c-stand/40arm/gobohead to go along with a kino flo diva (200) and I estimated a 10lbs boa should be fine for the arm and diva, but what about the base of the c-stand? I figured a 25lbs would be good, but the shipping is as expensive as the sandbag itself!

I know you can buy fill your owns with zippers, but I can just see them breaking. I went to my local camera shop (glazers in seattle) and they have every size EXCEPT for the damn 25lbs I want!

So maybe I don't need a 25lbs for that kit? is 20 to light? is 30 overkill?

thanks!

15lb. bags are easiest to travel with. Some bags can be emptied, but I've always found that the standard sealed bags in 15lb. and 30lb. are best. I kind of prefer to lift two fifteen pound bags than to strain lifting 30lb. bags once. Of course, you have to carry a few more 15lb. bags to give you the 30lbs. you will want on a fully extended double-riser c-stand.

For overheads and work on big combo stands, you will have lines at each corner of your frame in addition to the equivalent of 90lbs. on each mambo-combo stand.

Matthews shotbags are common, but a little spendy for people just building their packages. Lindcraft and others make affordable bags in various sizes.

On many merchant accounts, the software isn't written to accurately handle shipping calculations for higher-weight / displacement orders (like dolly track). You'll likely get a call after ordering and their website does normally offer fair warnings about this issue.

You might not have seen it in this instance, but oversize / weight items usually kick out a disclaimer.
