I have a 7 min. film shot in SD and I want to put it on myspace, anyone know how to size this to fit myspace's criteria? I seem to remember only 5 minute films fit on utube and myspace, right?

just depends. your film is 7 mins, just pick a format and codec and start playing with the bitrate til you have the right size. compressor isn't completely acurate in it's preview so go low. I believe that myspace allows 100meg so go somewhere around 75mb.

I don't want to sound dumb, but how do I read the bit rate? I normally just put in the web streaming size suggested in the final chapter Final Cut Pro 5 Training book. :embarasse

in compressor after you select your setting then in the inspector you can fiddle with the a/v settings and it will give you a rough est of what the file size will be. It is usually off by about 18 mb too much (at least for me it has been).
