What Should Rob Zombie Do Next?

OK, it is no secret, I think that Rob Zombie is brilliant. While his freshman effort had too much money and they went too far overboard, he is one of the few filmmakers that I think made a sophomore film that exceeded the work of most seasoned filmmakers. I'm under the impression that Rob Zombie has a vision and a stylistic edge that is based upon and inspired by a good majority of classic horror films as well as great 70's cinema. I think that the guy could direct anything. So if you're running a studio and if you're in charge of a franchise, what project would you offer to Rob Zombie to see what new life and vision he could inject?

Retire  :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I'm not a fan. I watched House of 1000 Corpses and still need to see The Devil's Rejects. I wanted to like it for what it was but just couldn't. I can see where he'd have a following, though, for the type of movie she makes.

I didn't enjoy House of 1000 either, but still went to devils rejects which I like better but didn't really get his style of filmaking. recently however I caught it again on the movie channel and had a greater appreciation for it. I think I'd definetly check out any project he decides to do in the future.

P.S. I'd rather him do another original film than pick up on something like SAW 4 for example.....

I agree, retire; and I've only seen House of 1K. That movie bored the **** out of me. I lasted about 25 minutes before I couldn't take it any more.

Rob Zombie is the real deal (See DR if you have not).

I'd like to see him do something more mainstream; like I AM LEGEND (Which is what I want to do actually)

I'd never heard of that story before John but i just googled it and it sounds BadAss.

This one's going to the top of my reading list.

The book rules !

It inspired Romero for NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and Stephen King says it's the reason he became a Writer.

How is that for some referrals!?

I'd love to see a Zombie take on the 007 franchise. That would have energy and edge that we haven't seen in a long time.

I just rewatched texas chainsaw massacre two the other day.

....

Ok listen

I LOVE zombie. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

But holy crap. There are like 90% parallels in situations and events between TCM2 and Rejects.

Man, I looked up the guy who is supposed to direct the new version of I Am Legend, and jesus christ dude, his track record is not good. It really made me sad, because it is a very awesome book.
