What should my settings for capture

I shot the first scene for my trailer using the camera's letterbox and at 24P advanced mode.

I tried several settings for the capture into FCP but when I put the shots in the time line the red line appears on top of the clip and so I will have to render.

Is there any way can change my video/audio settings so that when I put the images in FCP I don't have to render?
That way it will much easier to work.

If so, can anyone list those settings please?

Since you've shot 24pa you have to convert it to 23.98fps
Go to easy setup, click on checkbox, select advanced pulldown removal.
Make your sequence 23.98fps
