What setting should I use, 1080i or 1080p when capturing both from a single tape?

Hi all,

I’ve got some test footage shot on a Canon XH A1 on one single tape. The footage on the tape alternate between HDV 1080i and HDV 1080p. The question is: When capturing in FCP, what should I set it to in Easy Setup, HDV 1080i or HDV 1080p? The thing is; I do not know what settings were used for the different sections of the tape, I just really want to use capture now.

Any help would be most appreciated.
