What razor does everyone use?

I HATE shaving!

It tears up my face every time!

What razor or shaver do you guys use? And what shaving cream/gel? And aftershave/lotion?

I have tried almost everything except the mega Quatro which I didn't know if it was worth the $10...is the battery powered one worth it? I have owned the norelco electric shaver that dispenses the goo, but that didn't do well. I have even used the really nice remington (the commercial where they put it up against the glass and it rings) and that actually made my face bleed!

I have really sensative skin especially in the moustache area. I am desperate for a working combination.

My face thanks you.

Do ou guys have uneven skin or acne?

Causei used to have bad acne, then my doc gaveme Acutane, and now its gone and i can shave with ease.

I buy the 52 pack of disposable razors from Sam's club... A new razor every week, and only $14 or so total... cheap, and easy. When I used to use regular razors, I found my main problem was that I would always use the blades too long (because I got sick of buying them...). With these razors so cheap, I'm always using a fresh blade, so I have no more issues with injuries...

Huh? Razor?

Well will just warn you guys that a haitrimmer are way to powerfull for your balls.

Other than that I use cheap OneTimeOnly razzors wich I use until they start hurting my face, so this year I am att nr2. ;)

Process is important too. I try not to shave more than every other day. First step is hot water on the face, then lather up (foam or gel, whatever), then shave, then straight into a hot shower and wash my face with soap.

Shaving is a journey. You have to really see what works and try different ways of getting a better less bloody shave. I use the Mach 3 and sensitive skin edge gel. Used to cut myself up but I haven't done that in years (barring this one time I was really tired and shaved a hole in my lip).

I hope this doesn't turn into the which shotgun should I get question.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I use Mach3 -- BUT... it's all about the products.

For a guy who shaves QUITE a bit and needs to look shaven while at work... here's what I suggest:

Jack Black Face Buff - energizing scrub with Vitamin C and Menthol
then
Art of Shaving Pre Shave Oil (I like the Sandalwood)
then --
WITH A BRUSH!!!...
Truefitt and Hill Shaving Cream... I like Trafalgar and 1805.

THEN...
TendSkin Skin Care Solution as a finish.

I used to have the same problem with cutting my face, especially around the neck area where the hair starts to grow in every different direction.

That was a few years ago when I worked at a restaurant and I shaved every day with a Mach 3.

Since then I use a Braun 7505

It takes about 2 weeks for your face to adjust to the electric razor, but after that it was 10 times better than a mach 3. Plus, you don't have to spend your life savings on razor refills. You do have a buy new blades and screens, but usually only once a year. And not cutting my face up is worth it. I also like the fact that I don't need to buy shaving cream.

It comes in handy for trimming side burns as well.

Sir, I will not call you a girl, sir! That is really good info. When I want my actor to look super smooth I'll give them this regimen to look military clean shaven.

Are we seriously talking about shaving?

Yes, Yes we are.

This is a serious problem...I have been shaving since like junior high (now 26yrs old) and for a guy who should shave everyday this is much needed info. Its just my face that gets hairy too, no back or chest...that's probably more info then I should divulge.

I don't have a huge problem with cutting one self, its the agrivated skin under the nose and on the neck a day or two after the shave.

I have used the mach 3...good stuff, just the agrivated skin still persists.

I don't have bad acne...

I agree the process is very important...mine is shower, then immediate shave. I have found that baby oil before and after the shave helps the skin too.

Has anyone tried out the 5 blade monstrosity? Is it any good?

And CaptainMench, I will definately check those out. Thanks

lol I use the cheapest electric razor that's available at walmart. It's not great, but it does the job. I usually have to do a second shave with my mach3 though.

I use a Motorola RAZR, but it sucks at keeping my skin smooth as a baby's bottom.

Nawwww... I use a Schick Quattro. I feel you can never have enough sharp blades next to your jugular. :)

52 pack at same for 13.29 and i dryshave which wouldnt be a good idea for someone with such sensitive skin. good luck in the hunt my friend.

Ive tried out the 5 blade thing and its not worth the dollar, neither is anything with batteries in it.

also, try shaving one day then letting it go for a day or 2 then shaving. shaving every day beats up your skin too much.
