I'm looking to buy a DVX100a within the next year and half, right when I start heading to digital film school.
I'm looking to see what quality I can get with the camera. I'd be interested in making my first, big, serious movie with the DVX100. Now I have no clue if my movie will get picked up, etc. but lets say it did, and people watched it, if done right would they be able to say that it looks any different than regular movies they watch on film? I don't want it too look low budget or like a TV movie, I'd like it to look like the real deal, like I'd used the whole meal deal. Course it would require lighting, etc.
Also, I'm assuming the HDX will look a lot closer to film due to its new abilities. Would that possibly be a better choice?
Thanks, sorry for my lack of knowledge on this subject.
