i am looking for a mixer/recorder that will handle my shotgun(me66) and my ew100 g2 wireless. What options do i have for my setup?

also while we are at it, can I have 2 receivers running from one wireless transmitter? I would like to feed my audio to a receiver and my camera simultaneously.

thanks.

Are you looking for a mixer and a recorder, two separate devices, or are you hoping to find a single device that is both a mixer and a recorder? How many mics do you anticipate needing to mix? How many recording channels?

Yes, a single wireless transmitter can send to more than one receiver without any problem. Going the other way around, multiple transmitters to one receiver, is the arrangement that doesn't work.

Whichever way is better. I think having two separate devices is more effective or better. Fault tolerance-wise. What do you think?

As for receivers, I'll get another receiver later.

For what you say, you don't need another receiver. Any decent mixer will feed both your camera and recorder at the same from the same input; most recorders will have an output that can feed the camera as well.

You don't mention budget... if you can swing it, I'd recommend a Sound Devices recorder and/or mixer...

Well its for separate audio capture using a shotgun and boom then mixing in post.
Audio techs. like that always use a mixer. Around $700 or less.

For audio techs. With a shotgun and boom pole, they use a separate mixer. Audio is then joined in post. Less than $700

Your camera records 2 channels, as do most common low-cost audio recorders. If you're really focusing on 1 boom and 1 lav, then you can record them to separate tracks in both the camera and the recorder, and mix in post.

If you have more than 2 sound sources, you'll either need a multi-track recorder or start really mixing tracks.
