What Microphone to buy?

[BigWilly1231]

I know that when the cameras are shipped they do not ship with a on board mic Correct?.....What does everyone suggest to get for a microphone....and what is the one that seems to always be shown on the pictures of the DVX100A????

the DVX has an onboard mic. however it does not come with a shotgun or directional style mic though.. the onboard mic is a slightly directional- omni mic.

check the AUdio section for sugesstions on mics.. theres alot of good info there.
