What light kit should I buy

I am looking to buy a 3 point light kit for interviews and documentaries complete with barn doors, all the necessary cables, clamps, stands, and a case for everything. I have anywhere from $200-600. Can anyone recommend to me the best light kit I could buy with the above specs?
Many thanks.

Re: What light kit should I buy

That's a pretty low price range. You might be able to swing the Smith-Victor K77 set for that, but that's low-end. Maybe some Lowell sets run under $600, but again, not that much better quality than S-V.

You might do a search on alternative possibilities, such as work lights. You'd have to swing your own barn doors, etc., but for your price range, I don't think you're looking at many complete sets with everything you're looking for, if any.

Definitely look into the Britek lights. I think you can get a 3point kit for around 500.

Smith-Victor is pretty much the bottom-feeder lighting supplier. Lowels are a lot better quality (IMHO) but overpriced for what you get.

You could get a decently-equipped Britek kit for that $600 figure.
