What lens to use?

Just got my Go35 in the mail and I need to get some lenses so I can TRY IT OUT!!! What lenses should I look at?

I have access to a Pentax 50mm f1.4, but I don't know what lenses will work with the Go35 or what ones are best.

Please help.

It's such a redundant question I thought I would use some sarcasm.
What mount is it? Canon, Nikon, Canon FD?

Why not ask the person who sold you the adapter.

Perhaps you should lurk through old posts. They should answer most of your questions you didn't even know you had :)

I have asked him and I am waiting for his reply. I don't even know what mount it is, haha

I'm new to the 35mm adapter stuff, and everything I do know I have learned from this website.

something wide: like a 24mm
something normal: like a 50mm
something telephoto: like a 135mm

Use fast lenses (1.4 or 2.8) Adaptors eat lots of light.

Consider a constant aperture zoom (f2.8) in the range of 17-35mm or 80-200mm.

Lenses are dependent on what the script/director calls for.

In general.

A fast 50 is a great place to start... for price and ease of finding them...Nikon 50mm 1.4's go for about $60 on ebay.

Then build your kit around your eye and taste.

Once you know what lens mount you have it will be easier than you think to try out lenses... go to a local camera shop and spend an afternoon trying some out. I've found lots of people who used to be SLR shooters that have lenses gathering dust and no need/interest in ebay.

For what it's worth... my favorite lens is my Nikkor 35mm f2
