What is wrong w/ Amazon's recommendations?

Hi,

Has anybody noticed that any book at Amazon's recommendations get a 5/4.5 stars recommendation? I can't believe it anymore. maybe someone could recommend a serious video bookstore online so I don't waste my money with books that are not so great.
