What is this about zoom lenses and letus?

I just read this on the Letus site. I don't know what this means but I have been shpooting a film for a few months using a Nikon zoom lens 35-77 (2.8). What are they talking about when they say "full frame lenses"?

The Letus adapters are designed to work with 35mm full frame lenses.

Full frame lenses are designed to cover 35mm Full Frame Sensors (i.e Canon 5D).

APSC/DX/S35 lenses (Canon 7D, RED etc.) will only cover smaller sensor sizes and will vignette on a Letus.

But since you zoom in until the vignetting disappears there is no vignetting either way. So I don't get it.

Zoom in on what? The groundglass? On every adapter except for the Ultimate you will suffer image softness, increased lightloss from the stock lens closing down, and you lose the FOV that the lens is meant to provide. It's possible that you won't even be able to focus on the GG after a certain point.
