Take a film like Jurassic Park. What is the story's 'goal', and when (%) is that goal made clear in the story? And then once that is answered, how does the answer relate to any story we write?
This is a somewhat rhetorical question as I often do in some of my posts here. But the answer may not be so simple. I had an interesting email discussion with a screenwriting friend on this, and I think I learned something in so doing. Thought I would put the question out for discussion here on the forum. I have studied a gazillion books on story structuring, thought I was crystal on this, now not so sure, as I think there could be more than one answer to such a question.
