What is the largest % value acceptable in enlarging a 1080p clip for 1080p output

I need to enlarge a couple of clips for cropping purposes.
Does anyone have experience in doing this and know what the % limit would be before the footage is noticeable on 1080p TV screen for HD broadcast.

The footage is shot in 1920 x 1080 25p and will be output at the same resolution 1920 x 1080 25p Apple ProRes 422 HQ

Thanks
RJ

Well, if you'd shot it in 720p and output in 1080 you'd be increasing by 50% -- so depending on the quality of your source, 720 upped to 1080 is a rough guideline of what is doable ... I'd look at it on a shot-by-shot basis, but 50% is not out of the question.

I've done even 200% and it looked good, just really depends how well the footage was shot, information on screen, etc. Also instead of 1080p I would output the final version to 720p as I feel that it helps a lot with the images you've had to enlarge.

Thanks Vision Filmz
At this point in testing, I have gone as far as 75% (175%) and it seemed to be ok.
The footage must be output at 1080 25p, that is the required acceptable resolution.
