What is the general consensus on this lighting kit?

Hey guys, Im looking to buy a budget lighting kit for a complete package I'm putting together.

Ill be using an XDCAM EX1 with a Letus Extreme, and I need advice on Lighting Kits. I've been using Mole lights for my previous shoots but now I want to purchase a kit and am lost as Ive never looked into budget lighting.

and was wondering what the consensus on that kit is?

Also, do you guys have any suggestions on what I should be looking for in the budget lighting scene? Also my budget is around $2000 for a kit.

Thoughts?
 
Number one suggestion - do a search for budget lighting as well as any company you run across. Pacific Coast has a VERY bad reputation. Surprised they're still in business actually.

Lots of good info here already - the system you're looking at is a Britek system - good and bad reviews here as well. $2k is a pretty good starter budget if you piece meal your lights and buy separately. You could do a Lowell kit and supplement with other lights for under $1k but my suggestion would be to begin by searching and researching here - you'll find much of your information posted in the last year.
 
I'm sure Luis'll be in soon to give you like 5 links to threads that'll give you some info on them.

I've not heard a single good thing about them on the boards. Typical experience reported by users on this board is never receiving their order and getting runaround/no response from the company.
