What is the best way to storyboard for commercials?

I never storyboard for narrative work. But for commercials, it seems almost like a requirement given you have so limited screen time. I'm working on a 30 second spot so it's 3-5 second quick shots. Every second has to be accounted for in the best way possible. You have to read out loud the lines to assure it fits in the allocated storyboard time frame. So I'm looking into storyboard software, or a method? It's all new to me but I understand what it involves. Any suggestions?

I know some people use grid paper and just draw squares and storyboard by hand on that. I'm considering doing that. I might need to eventually get a Wacom pen tablet.

I just use some storyboard templates I DLed off of printablepaper.net. Works really well (even if you're not a good artist) - and a lot of times it really helps me sell whatever vision we're aiming for on the project. A lot of people choose not to use storyboards at all though, so to each his or her own.
