Last thing I need to nail are the various ways inwhich to burn my footage to DVD and CD for:
a) viewing in windows media
b) viewing on TV
c) video streaming
====================================
I have edited my video files;
Now I am trying to burn a dvd so I can watch it on TV;
Also, I would like to view it on a computer with Windows Media Player, which will start on its own once I insert a CD or DVD; currently, the auto start is not happening and I have to go and select my CD or DVD drive, then I get a list of files... Is this normal for DVD formats?
To continue, I’ve finished editing the footage using Vegas 5.0; I rendered it as an avi format and a mpg2 format (manual said to use these formats for DVD burning), and I renamed it something different for both; I did 2 separate renders so I would not have to go back and do it again should the avi not work, or the mpg2 not work for me (meaning, the burn is not successful).
Then I went into DVDA and selected "file", "new", then selected the rendered file, first trying the mpg2 formatted one, then selected "burn dvd", went through the fields, keeping the default templates, then the burn starts;
When the burn is done, the CD (I tried to CD-RW in Vegas 5.0), or DVD that I experimented with do not play anything.
