What is the best Thunderbolt RAID?

Also surprisingly, MacWorld has an article about USB3 vs Thunderbolt, and USB3 came out on top using non-SSD drives

This article wasn't testing RAID drives, so yes USB3 works quite well for single drives provided your computer is fairly new and uses 6Gb/s SATA drive connections. Once you add RAID drives and bi-directional data processing (reading and writing data simultaneously), USB3 falls far behind.

Do you have an article or something to show that?

Try rendering a video to or from a USB3 connected SSD drive while you copy a large file in the opposite direction from the same drive, and see if things bog down. It's always bogged down for me.

My limited experience working with a designer friend's iMac and trying simultaneous writing/reading to an external Buffalo Thunderbolt SSD (it has both USB3 and Thunderbolt connections) is that Thunderbolt handles bi-directional data processing better than USB3 does.

The RAID drive that DDixon posted looks like a good deal at $600.
