Help me please! I am exporting my short film shot on Pal DVX100A in Final Cut Pro for the purpose of screening on web and need to know what the best way to export is is, to get the best possible quality at the smallest file size. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have found that the white text of my scrolling titles blur in the exported product, even though they look fine in FCP. Is this something I need to do in FCP to help avoid the text blur or is this something in the exporting???

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I found the best way to export is to save a self-contained movie from FCP with sequence settings (via Export -> Quicktime movie), then taking that file into compressor. I use H.264 compression (be aware that these files can only be watched on Quicktime 7), with 512x384, crop 16px on each side, 25fps, at quality 50%, with 24000KHz AAC audio. If you want your video to be watchable on older computers without Quicktime 7, I would recommend Soerensen 3 compression, which is okay even if you turn the quality down to something like 15%.
Your test issues are probably from exporting, I wouldn't know a way to prepare text for web export ...
Hope this helps ...
