Hi guys,

I'm just about to buy a laptop for hdv and sd editing and CS3.
I've got Vegas 7 but do I need a good video card?

The notebooks I'm looking at are 1.73 to 2 ghz, 1 to 2 gb ram, 120gig hd, and 256 shared graphics (128 dedicated only).

So is a 128meg card enough for hd and sd editing?

Vegas doesn't utilize the graphics card. Processor speed is the most important thing when working in Vegas.

Thanks Horsefilms, I love your logo! Is that a quarterhorse in a 2 legged race?

I've read in other posts you need a good video card if you're editing and doing graphic design etc..
